Say, have you seen the new word search games on Rush Glick’s website? No? So Fun!

Well, perhaps new isn’t exactly correct. I’m not sure when he originally put them on the site (it’s been around over 20 years?) And not sure if Rush made them himself, or he used some person or program to make them. However, they are really neat, there’s two of them. You’ll find them under the Bulletin Board link on his homepage (also below.) Good clean fun any Charlie Chan fan won’t want to miss! And once you play one…you’ll just have to play the other.

Oh yeah, and they’re interactive! Here are Rush’s instructions and a sample of the first puzzle:

Try our word search puzzles!

Puzzle #1: Chan Family Siblings

Puzzle #2: Charlie Chan Mystery Locales

As you find each answer, which can appear in ANY direction: forward or backward, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, drag your cursor across the answer to highlight. Have fun!

It even lines through each word once it’s highlighted!

Now I realize I just gave that entire game away and what words to find (I hope I am forgiven!) And some might say, “Hey, I can just do this without going to the link.” Sure, but you won’t experience the excitement and anticipation of seeing the words highlighted and automatically being lined-out, after dragging your curser across them (it’s like magic!) And wait a month to play them over-and-over again!

I can’t believe I never tried these after all the years! They have a great calming effect or if you just need a brain-dump. Say perhaps, after you’ve found out your AC and furnace need replaced, your daughter needs a tooth implant, and your Honolulu condo is flooded, all in the same month.

Postscript. The second puzzle is much larger and has twenty words to find–quite the challenge!
